A new 16 MB SpringBoard module for the Handspring Visor (the HSB-16M) from Hagiwara Systems went on sale 15 December 2000 in Tokyo. Hagiwara Systems will also be releasing an 8 MB SpringBoard module (the HSB-8M). The 16 MB module will retail for under ¥15,000 (~US$133) and the 8 MB module for under ¥9,000 (~US$80).

In related news, the Japanese localized version of the Visor Prism and Platinum went on sale in retail stores in Japan and also at Handspring Japan .
