June 24, 1999 (TOKYO) — Apple Japan Inc. is selling refurbished iMac PCs for a price of 98,000 yen through The Apple Store on the Internet.

Those iMac PCs initially had defects, according to Apple Japan. The repaired models have PowerPC 750, 266MHz CPUs and 6GB HDD units. They come in five colors that match the iMac color scheme — strawberry, lime, tangerine, grape and blueberry.

The model originally had defects found at the time of delivery and they were repaired. The warranty is limited to three months. Even if the computer has a flaw on its body or an accessory, purchasers cannot get replacements. And no follow-up service is available abroad.
