Bare Feats ran a comparison test between a 14 GB VST FireWire Hard Drive and a FirePower drive from the now defunct MacTell. The test results indicate that these 7200 rpm drives were both slower than their IDE cousins, with the MacTell edging out the VST drive by a slim margin.
