Though Steve Jobs said that the new iMacs are shipping today, it seems he meant that the iMacs were shipping out of the factories, not that retailers will be shipping the new iMacs to customers today. Availability from 7 to 10 days seems to be the norm at various resellers, including the Apple Store.
