1Password for Mac updated to 6.0

1Password just hit version 6.0 for the Mac.

AgileBits’ password manager has just been updated to version 6.0 and the changes are pretty massive:

All Vaults View: This allows you to see all of your items in the main app and mini app without switching vaults. Vaults can also be created for families and teams, such as when business social media accounts are shared.

Other new features include:

Powered-Up Strong Password Generator: This uses a new wordlist password generator, creating wordlist passwords that are easy to remember and type, without sacrificing strength and security. If you prefer a jumble of letters, numbers, and symbols, the Characters option you know and love is still there for you.

iCloud Sync: This integrates 1Password with iCloud, allowing for sharing over devices.

Access all your Teams vaults: The new version allows for vault sharing between teams as well as a Teams-only mode.

1Password 6.0 is a free update for all 1Password 4 and 1Password 5 for Mac owners. If you already own a license for 1Password, you can check for updates from within 1Password to upgrade to version 6.

1Password 6.0 retails for $50 and requires OS X 10.10 or later to install and run.

If you’ve tried the new version and have any feedback to offer, let us know in the comments.
