In one of the biggest tragedies in the technology sector the Ricochet wireless network will be going dark on Wednesday 08 August, 2001. Letters are being mailed out to customers today.

Employees were terminated with no notice and offered one week’s pay as severance.

According to the company’s Web site the network is up for auction on 16 Aug 2001 at 1 pm.
