The NAMM show we’ve covered this week is Mac shop and fully Airport-enabled, writes Larry Herrmann, Technology Director, NAMM:
“I read with interest your NAMM summer session report. Thanks for the greatcoverage.”
“You may not know this, but NAMM is a Mac based business. Our 53 staff members all have Macs, the director staff has PowerBooks. Our HQ building is Airport enabled, and we’ve utilized wireless technology for our trade shows to great success. We were the first to run wireless networking in Nashville last summer, and the first to utilize it in Anaheim last January.”
We use a variety of Mac technologies including WebStar, Communigate Pro, Filemaker Pro, etc. Our January show is about double the size of Nashville . . .”
Now, a quick note about that January show, especially to those of you up north, while NAMM spends summer in Nashville, not exactly the most comfortable season to be in the south, it spends winter in . . . Anaheim, CA. So if those twenty-below wind chills are getting you down . . .
