MacOSRumors is reporting that Apple is close to choosing the new ATi Radeon Mobility 7500 as the video subsytem for the upcoming revision to the PowerBook G4 Titanium, code named Onyx. ATi is rumored to have been given the nod over the nVIDIA GeForce2 Go which was thought to be the lead dog as recently as last week.
As the Apple Turns is staying clear of making a definitive pick on the video card but is pulling for “a Mobility RADEON-toting PowerBook G4/667 surfacing sometime in the next four weeks.” As for me? I just want it to be black. More on this story as we get it.
