Since it was introduced, people have been hunting for a way to connect Apple’s beautiful 22-inch Apple Cinema Display to the PowerBook G4 Titanium. The MARGI Display-to-Go 4 MB PC card seemed like the obvious choice, but it has never worked properly with the TiBook making the PowerBook and iBook family a virtual island from the Cinema Display and other digital LCDs. MARGI has announced that the combination of their new driver and Mac OS 9.2.1 will allow you to connect the Cinema Display to the TiBook.

BIAS, Inc. has announced pricing and availability for the first professional audio tools to hit OS X: Peak and Deck. The OS X versions, when they ship, will be free to anyone who purchased currently shipping versions after October 1.

iTunes 2 is now available for download. In addition to iPod support, the new version features a 10-band equalizer with EQ presets, faster CD burning (though still no multisession support), MP3 CD burning, cross-fading, and “Sound Enhancer” for improved playback. And, in a big boon for us fans of imported music, Unicode support now allows iTunes to display Chinese, Korean, and Japanese characters alongside English characters. No more garbled characters for J-pop!
An iTunes for OS X installer that could potentially cause data loss (blame OS X’s .pkg installers!) has been replaced on Apple’s site. OS X users are now provided with iTunes 2.01, which may be safely installed. Here is Apple’s note to that effect:

I am running Altec Lansing ASC56′s 5 piece system and I just download iTunes for OS 9. The cross-fade from song to song feature may seem like a little thing, but it is so neat and I really enjoy it. It makes it even more interesting when listening to songs that don’t fade themselves and that are from different genres. The EQ works wonders for sound.

TDK Systems Europe has released a Bluetooth USB Adapter for Bluetooth wireless capabilities. Go2Mac is awaiting a response on availability of Mac drivers.
