Mozilla mouse gestures involve the “rapid execution of common browser commands with mouse movements.” Tracing a path not unlike a Graffiti symbol on the Palm, you click a mouse button or modifier and then move the mouse up then down, or up then right, and so on, for navigation, image modification, tabbed browsing, linking, bookmarking, and even commands like tracking cookies on the current site with one mouse move. Install the add-on, and you’re good to go. Gestures were first implemented in the browser Opera, and have made popular appearances in the game Black and White and the all-powerful 3D software and Macworld keynote favorite Maya. Alas, for addicts of mouse gestures, Mac OS X doesn’t yet have system-wide gestures, though Apple has been rumored to be interested (and that Maya connection may help).
