Pioneer plans to launch a recordable DVD drive for laptops, which will write DVDs at 2x, record CDs at 16x, and rewrite CDs at 10x, according to c|net. There’s no word yet on whether Apple’s PowerBook G4 will be able to accommodate the drive; the PowerBooks requires a slimmer drive than most laptops. [MacMinute]
