Has anyone noticed that the new ‘fastest’ configuration of the PowerMac G4 can be Configured To Order (CTO) in the Apple Store – without the Superdrive (DVD-R)? That works out to US$2500 for the fastest Mac. And it was not previously available.
On the portable side, has anyone noticed that the new PowerBook 17-inch has only one DIMM slot for a 512MB RAM module? Much better than the two DIMM slots in the 15.2-inch version and a smart move for the customer.
