Jason, can you start an article about PowerBook 17″ nicknames? Albook? Chrome? Big Al? 17″? Lunch Tray? What is it? Seems that Apple forgot to nickname it on the development end. No “pismo” “wallstreet” “yosemite” “sawtooth”? What gives? PowerBook 17″ doesn’t seem to roll off the tongue like TiBook did.

Macup in Germany is reporting that DSP Memory has a 1GB DDR-RAM module for the 12″ G4 Powerbook, enabling one to have a maximum of 1.148MB of RAM instead of Apple’s limit of 648. Costs around US$800 (give or take a few cents here & there). Might have impact on the warranty though if you stick one of thees things in your 12″ and something goes wrong.

I just purchased a new Palm Bluetooth Card for use with my Palm m505 and my new 17-Inch Flatsreen iMac with bult-in Bluetooth. I was all psyched to do my Hotsyncing via Bluetooth.
