Ask PowerPage: SCSI Scanner on Pismo

Recently I purchased a Polaroid SprintScan 4000. I thought it would be no problem to connect to it my Pismo, but I’m out of luck still. Are there readers that have successfully used an scsi-to-firewire adapter to connect a filmscanner? Belkin doesn’t respond to my questions. The other option would be a pcmcia/CardBus solution. The only card I can find is an Adaptec PowerDomain.

The cheapest solution would be buying a second hand Mac with scsi, but I have limited deskspace. Help and advice would be appreciated.
