First Impressions: 30 GB iPod

CompUSA in Houston told me they’d have the new 30GB iPods in stock this past Friday but couldn’t start selling then until 6pm.(?) I went Friday night and got the new 30GB iPod. It comes in a similar box to the older iPods, maybe a little bigger and is kind of black and white in colors. Long Songs not Available on iTunes Music Store

Songs that are longer than 7:00 minutes are not available as immediate download from the iTunes music store. I noticed this while looking at Jimi Hendrix live at the Fillmore. 12:00 songs are not available, but anything less than 7:00 is.

The QuickerTek Whip is an external antenna designed to maximize poor signal and/or reception when using AirPort cards, specifically in Titanium PowerBooks.

Like so many people who are dedicated PowerBook users, my mission to find a solution for my reception woes with my Titanium PowerBook 500 have ranged from third party products (that haven’t worked up until this point) to near readiness to call that psychic guy on TV. After hearing about the QuickerTek antennas (they have a PCIMCIA slot model as well) in the news channels, I had to find out if this was just the magic I was looking for. Read More…

17-Inch PowerBook Hissing/Crackling Noise
