State of the Macintosh, What is Apple up to?

Once again we seem to be in Apple Rumor Heaven. For those who may have been blind and not read a Mac based web site in the last week or so, you would notice the focus of just about EVERY site is rumors. Now, it is our policy not to publish rumors, but I think there is more happening than meets the eye. Lets us take a look at the State of the Macintosh.
Let us get started with the obvious. Since last fall apple has made only minor updates to the PowerMac product line. While they did increase processor speeds and decrease price, it is not all it is hyped up to be. Even though this is the Year of the Laptop according to CEO Steve Jobs, the PowerMac is the backbone of Apple’s professional market. More at MacHelpNet
