iPod Socks? Foof!

Yes, in stark contrast to this year’s non sequitur from Apple, the utterly inexplicable US$29 iPod socks, this is an accessory you might actually want: lovely (if somewhat, er, foofy) fabrics, handmade, and an interesting alternative to rubber. Even better, the folks at foof make a sleeve for your `Book to keep scratches away — a major issue, especially on the Aluminum and Titanium models. I still like the ability to operate the scroll wheel in the case, but at US$10.50 these are a great deal. As for the Apple alternative, well, at least Apple isn’t making iPod Jocks. Yet.

At long last, createdigitalmusic.com, my new site for digital musicians, is up and running. If you’ve outgrown GarageBand and are ready to create digital audio with advanced tools, and keep up with the coolest music toys out there, drop by, join up, and let me know what you think. CDM will partner with the PowerPage to offer team coverage on topics like DJing and digital music. The site is just getting started, but eventually we’ll have news, reviews, tips, tutorials, and special features, with daily updates. New iSight pricing?

I bought an iSight yesterday from my local CompUSA in Atlanta and it was $99.99. Was there a national drop in price, did my local one mess up or did they drop the price in anticipation of the new camera we’ve heard rumours about? Has anyone else seen this?
