iLife '05 Not Pre-Installed on Mac mini

New Mac mini users may be in for a slight shock when playing with their new machines: iLife ’04 is installed. Don’t panic though, Apple just didn’t have the release candidate for iLife ’05 complete when the Mac mini went into production. The CD-ROM for iLife ’05 is included in the box, just pop it in and update.

Apple iPod Shuffle's logic boardNot too long after Apple releases a product, someone figures out how to open it up so that we can see the guts. I think that it’s in our DNA or something. Well, the honor for first iPod Shuffle dissection goes to AppleMatters.com. But it’s not for the faint of heart.

“Preparing the cadaver”
The challenge is trying to figure out the first step in disassembling the object. As is expected with Apple, every detail of this design has been thought through and there are no visible cues as to how the casing comes apart.
