Is this a small hint that Apple might be adopting the HD aspect ratio in future displays, e.g. the upcoming iMac G5 revision?

Apple is offering their Mac OS X Up-To-Date upgrade program to Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger” for US$9.95. If you purchase a qualifying new Macintosh on or after April 12th, 2005 that does not have Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger” included, you can upgrade to Tiger for US$9.95. The program ends on July 22nd 2005 and your order must be postmarked or faxed by July 9th 2005.
In related news, a reader asks:
Is there a central source to see what commercial and shareware software is certified for Tiger? I’m not upgrading this time around until 99% of the applications I use are certified. And even then I may wait. When Panther came out I had to spend about $2,000 for all of the software updates.
Contact us is you have any details.
