Every once in a while I receive an email to the effect of “Are you still using your BlackBerry? How is it?” Well, I’m happy to report that I still love my BlackBerry 7100t (which I originally reviewed in January 2005) and still use it everyday. I actually enjoy things that I used to hate like lines, traffic and elevators because instead of twiddling my thumbs I can use them to keep up with email, surf the Web and chat on IM. But one of these days I am going to become a professional gambler with the help of my favorite application for Blackberry: Magmic’s Texas Hold’em King 2. Read more…

BBC’s Click Online: Digital cameras are the technology miracle of the decade, from the flat blurry images we got ten years ago we’ve progressed to stunningly vibrant pictures right up there with film. But for two photographers in New York State this wasn’t enough. They went in search of the ultimate way to capture every minute digital detail… Tom Watson, Photographer: “This is a 144 megapixel camera. It writes a 140mb file. If you compare that with the average consumer digital camera, it’s about 100 times more data.” It takes a minivan full of technology. The large format camera is mounted on a sturdy, wind resistant tripod. A laptop and 80gb hard drive are also part of the kit.
