MacMinute: ‘Podcast Secrets Revealed’ ebook available
A new 75-page ebook is available by Jeff Mills that teaches new users the history of podcasting, as well as how to set up their own podcasts…
MAKE: Blog: GarageBand.com has a new podcast publishing feature- so I tried it out. It’s pretty easy, I recorded audio on my local system, uploaded it, then searched for a few songs that I thought were interesting (Nintendo sounding sounds / Bo Bice!) and added them to a “master playlist” from there I made a new podcast, with the playlist, set the order, typed some text and published. In about 5 minutes I made a radio show. Here it is, click download MP3 to listen. Link.

I just discovered that Opera 7 for Mac OS X is the only Web browser that works properly with the Blackberry Web Client (BWC) on Mac. I have tried every browser in creation and none of them allow you to delete messages from the BWC – except OPERA! Kudos guys. (Source: Emory)

CommonBits has posted a nice primer on BitTorrent for those of you not on the bandwagon yet. Make sure you grab the white hot Beta 4.1.1 featuring trackerless support and internationalization. Also, the creator of BitTorrent just launched the overly hyped BitTorrent search. BT is an excellent platform for finding all kinds of music and films released under the Creative Commons license but it’s sooo 2004. :)

Apple Joins the Navy

Apple’s corporate doublespeak completely blows me away. Example: CEO Steve Jobs said he plans to continue his litigation of the independent online media (including this site) all the way to the Supreme Court… “No one has the right to publish confidential information just because they can.” (Searchblog)
But when questioned about his decision to pull Wiley books from the bookshelves in Apple Stores after the company published iCon Steve Jobs: The Greatest Second Act in the History of Business (US$16.47 at Amazon.com), he commented “I didn’t want to do business with them,” but added: “People can publish whatever they want to publish.” (Macworld UK)
Huh? I wish Apple would spend more money on fixing things like the battery recalls, crappy hinges software QA issues and on increasing market share – instead of lawyers.

iMuffs Bluetooth Headphones for the iPodEngadget: Aight, people, we?re not gonna lie to you and pretend these things weren?t rather unfortunately named. Still, they promise Bluetooth integration between your iPod, your phone, and your ears, which is potentially a good thing no matter what they?re called. When the phone rings, the iMuffs pause your tunes and answer the call, allowing you to speak through the integrated microphone. They charge by USB and reportedly will go for about 12 hours between charges.
