A new Think Secret story offers details of forthcoming iPod mini and shuffle upgrades, and also discusses the iTunes-enabled phone.
Think Secret reports that Apple will revamp its popular iPod mini line, ditching hard drives in favor of flash memory, reducing the unit’s physical size, and adding a color screen. In addition, Apple is expected to introduce a 2GB iPod shuffle and drop the prices of current shuffles.
The upgraded music players will most likely not be announced at Apple’s media event on September 7 next week, and will probably be unveiled at Apple Expo in Paris later in the month. Next week’s event will instead be devoted almost exclusively to the new iTunes-enabled Motorola phone, also discussed in Think Secret’s story.
More details are available in the story at Think Secret.
