QuarkXPress 7.0.1 is Universal Binary

QuarkXPress has released public beta 2 of XPress 7.0.1 which is Universal Binary and runs natively on Intel-based Macs. Interestingly the Windows beta is over, but they still appear to be accepting Mac beta applications.
Following are some tips to help you use the files you created with the QuarkXPress 7.01 Universal Binary public beta 2 software in the released version of QuarkXPress 7.
- QuarkXPress 7.01 Universal Binary public beta 2 files open in the released version of the QuarkXPress 7 software.
- QuarkXPress 7.01 public beta 2 files open in QuarkXPress 6 when you export them (File > Export > Layouts as Project) as QuarkXPress 6.0 projects.
- The QuarkXPress 7.01 public beta 2 software will be functional through July 31, 2006.
- The QuarkXPress 7.01 Universal Binary release will be available as an update to existing QuarkXPress 7 customers at no additional cost.
