TOKYO (XFN-ASIA) – Computer maker Fujitsu will recall 287,000 battery packs for laptop computers made by Sony Corp, Fujitsu said.’The company is recalling all the batteries that were named by Sony in its voluntary replacement program,’ a Fujitsu spokeswoman said.Sony offered last week to replace all potentially hazardous batteries it has made.On Friday, Fujitsu announced that it would exchange battery packs used in its FMV notebook computers, although no malfunctions had been reported with them. At the time it did not say how many batteries it expected to recall.
