iPhone to Include Components from Intel and Balda
An article on MacNN is reporting that the procesor will be made by Intel while the touch-screen will be handled by German hardware manufacturer Balda.
Apple surprised the technology industry yesterday by announcing its iPhone product, which will be released in June pending FCC approval and includes full MP3 playback capabilities, robust phone tools and what the company believes to be the best Internet features of any device currently on the market.
The iPhone will retail for $499 for a 4 gigabyte configuration and $599 for an 8 gigabyte configuration with service being offered exclusively through Cingular.
