MWSF07: Update: Intel Denies CPU Supplier Role for iPhone
According to an article on AppleInsider, Intel representatives denied a claim yesterday that the firm would be the supplier of processors for Apple's upcoming iPhone.
The company confirmed that it would be supplying the processor for the upcoming Apple TV.
"We are not providing the silicon inside the iPhone," commented Intel spokesman Bill Kirkus. "We are providing the silicon inside the Apple TV."
No additional comments were offered as to technical specifications for the Apple TV product chip or which firm would supply processors for the iPhone.

Could Apple be using a Motorola embedded PPC chip for the iPhone. We know that OS X already runs on PPC (duh). Moto embedded PPC chips are cooler and faster than most, and are widely used in the defense and automotive industry. Besides, Moto didn't raise a big stink when Apple switched to Intel. Make sense?
