Democracy Player, the open-source media player/Internet TV application, has been updated to version 0.9.5.3.
The new version, a 9.6 megabyte download (courtesy of VersionTracker), repairs problems in searching Google video, which had changed its playback format and updates language translation files.
Democracy Player requires Mac OS X 10.3 or higher and QuickTime 7 or higher to run. The software is a universal binary and runs at native speeds under both the PowerPC and Intel hardware architectures.
While free, Democracy Player is donationware, so if you like it, you can contribute to the effort via Paypal and through Google Checkout.
