On Tuesday, Purple Ghost Software released iRepo X, a shareware utility that allows users to both transfer songs to and from an iPod as well as recover lost songs on the iPod back to your Mac.
Like similar programs, the software allows users to connect a friend’s iPod, then go through a list of songs and select which ones they want to copy over.
iRepo X is a 3.3 megabyte download (courtesy of MacUpdate) and retails for a US$12.00 shareware registration fee and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later to run. The application is a universal binary and can run at native speeds on both PowerPC and Intel-based hardware.
If you’ve tried the software and have comments or feedback about it, let us know.
