Miglia has announced that it has released a software update to its TVMax product, a device which hooks into a Mac and allows video to be imported via coax, S-video and composite inputs. The TVMax itself relies on a USB 2.0 connection to interface with the computer.
According to Macworld UK, the version 1.0.1 update, which weighs in at an 11.6 megabyte download, allows both the TVMax and TVMax+ models to export captured video to either iPod or AppleTV formats. Imported video is encoded in real time to an MPEG-2 format and users can run further conversions from there.
The update is free for TVMax users who purchased a unit after January 19th of this year. Otherwise, the software retails for about US$39.27 (29 Euros). The TVMax and TVMax+ units themselves retail for about US$201.78 (149 Euros).
