This has nothing to do with the iPhone, so bear with me here:
On Wednesday, Apple released SuperDrive Firmware Update 2.1, an update which improves the readability of certain CD media on the given MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops:
-MacBook Pro Core Duo (15 -inch 1.83GHz, 2.0GHz, or 2.16GHz)
-MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo (15 -inch 2.16GHz or 2.33GHz)
-MacBook Core Duo (13 -inch 1.83GHz or 2.0GHz)
-MacBook Core 2 Duo (13 -inch 1.83GHz or 2.0GHz)
The update requires Mac OS X 10.4.4 or later to run and is available as a 12 megabyte download. Owners of qualifying MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops can also find the update via Mac OS X’s built-in Software Update feature.
If you’ve tried the new firmware and have either positive or negative feedback about it, let us know.
