A partial resolution has been found for the poor sound reception of some customers' iPhones. Some customers are reporting that the volume is so low that they cannot hear the caller even after making sure that the volume is at its maximum.

"Oh wait. Damnit. The plastic film that covers the brand-new iPhone also obscures the earpiece. What? You mean I have to actually put the earpiece to my ear? Double damnit. I hope no one sees this and posts it on the interwebs...."

As was covered in a previous article the iPhone has been sighted on many of this season's TV shows. Particularly on CBS, as can be seen on this past weeks episode of "Two and a Half Men" "Shoes, Hats, Pickle Jar Lids" aired 11/19/07. Charlie (Sheen) who has been using his iPhone since the middle of October, might be a little preoccupied in this shot and not really concerned as to why he cannot hear the caller on his iPhone.

CBS's show NCIS has been showing glimpses of Probie McGee's (Sean Murray) iPhone every week since it was first used on "Leap of Faith" on 10/23/07 and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) on "How I Met Your Mother" has been using his iPhone correctly on camera every week for almost as long.

Beth Turner (Sophia Myles) on CBS's Moonlight "Fever" (episode 104 aired 10/19/07) has also been caught using the iPhone correctly without the aforementioned audio problems.
