Kudit Releases Social Network Game - iPhone / iPod Touch

iphone3.jpg
Kudit the maker of "The Missing iPhone and iPod Touch applications".

Kudit has five areas of applications:
Calculators - Body Mass Index, Kitchen Converter, Resistor Value*, Tips, Words per Minute*
Tools - Coin Flip*, Stopwatch*
Score Keepers - Spades, Us vs Them
Games - Chain Reaction@, Let it Roll@, Mosaic@, Roshambo*, Simon@
Toys - Finger Scan, Lites@, Mystic 8-Ball, Mystic Seer

Most applications have a 3-month subscription for US$1.99 those marked by an "*" are FREE and "@" are 3 months for $4.99. If you visit their site directly from your iPhone or iPod Touch, you're directed directly to the main application page and not the site's home page.

Besides being free, Roshambo is a two-player network game that lets you register and play on the Roshambo site. So, if you are into rock, paper, scissors, this is a game for your commute on the train or bus or a way to occupy the kids on a long holiday trip. Another way to occupy the kids is give them the Lites program to make "Lite Brite" pictures. Let it Roll (iPhone Yatzee) is also multiplayer but you share your iPhone to give the other player play. Even though the iPhone has its own stopwatch feature, this one includes lap timers so the next time you attend a NASCAR race you can check you favorite drivers lap times. The coin flip is a little lame. You click a blue flip box and a yellow answer box fills with either Heads or Tails the blue box changes to a grey reset box while the answer is displayed. In the calulator section it's ok for mom to say I'm overweight, but my iPhone and the Body Mass Index calculator that's another story (205/6'0"), especially since it doesn't compensate for Male/ Female. The Tip calculator is great if you have a multiple person party willing to split a bill equally. The program lets you rate service by star ratings up to 5, each star adds 5% to the tip and the bill can then be equally divided by up to 12 people. The WPM calculator should help you improve your iPhone typing skills not quite as much fun as the Mosaic game but a great way to monitor your typing progress. The Resistor calculator provides values all the way down to 0.05% +/- so if you are a bread boarder and have this pile of unclassified resistors this could help with some of those off the wall color combinations. The Kitchen calculator helps make those conversions from watching Apple iChat fan, cook Rachel Ray, as she suggests 5 dashes of salt (0.31tsp) or 5 pinches of oregano (0.63tsp) and 10 drops of Vanilla (0.13tsp). Almost forgot the Toys, The Finger Scan is a little sleight of hand (finger) in that it simulates a finger print scanner, a cool party trick. The Mystic 8-BALL is an onscreen virtual 8-Ball game unfortunately my trial period (15 Minutes) expired before I could review the Mystic Seer fortune teller program.

If Kudit gets enough activity on their multiplayer network game Roshambo they might then incorporate that feature into their Let it Roll or create another multiplayer game.
