The Forums: Guess Who Just Got Banned?

We gave the user multiple warnings.
We told him (or her) to stop spamming.
And, like a complete idiot incapable of getting it, they kept posting to the PowerPage forums about a converter utility that would solve all your problems, convert to every format under the sun and probably vacuum the living room if you paid a bit extra.
"Appleiphone" or "madison" or whatever he wants to call himself (or herself) is gone now and will continue to be banned if they keep posting.
The point is this: The forums are there for discussion. If you want to throw an idea out, have found something cool or have a question, that's what they're there for.
When it comes to insulting another user or trying to sell a hackneyed product over and over again, this will only lead to a permanent ban via a zero-tolerance policy and that's the end of the argument.
Besides, how credible is your product if you can't sell it through legitimate channels and have to resort to spamming a web site's forums as part of your "marketing" scheme? This is the hallmark of someone who calls the hood of their '87 Corolla their "desk" and a coffee shop with free wireless access their "office", despite the fact that the owner finds them creepy and would really like them to actually buy something or leave.
The comments and forums are there for a reason. Use them. Live them. Love them. But act like the class dunce and we will treat you like one.

Did this really require a post?
I'm glad that spam is being kept to a minimum, but the post seems more appropriate for a MySpace page than a news site.

We had the same douchebags spamming over at 43folders, too.
They still come and go now and then, hawking and peddling their craptastic product that nobody needs or should be buying given the free alternatives that their "product" is based on.
