Apple Planning to Bring iPhone to Alaskan, Chinese Markets, iPhone Shopping Policies Change

Even if the iPhone firmware wasn't updated to version 1.1.3, there's still some neat things on the horizon.

According to Macworld UK, customers in the United States and Europe can now pick up as many as five iPhones in a single purchase, upping the limit from two.

No word has been released as to whether cash purchases are now allowed as opposed to needing to buy the handsets via credit card so Apple has a name on file with each unit sold.

In other news, Apple appears to have reached a deal with Chinese mobile phone retailer, D.Phone, which would allow for the sale of the iPhone as early as February of 2008. The company is also reportedly in talks with various Chinese wireless carriers, China Mobile being the most voiced candidate among the parties it's speaking with.

Finally, a recent AT&T purchase of wireless carrier Dobson Communications hints towards the iPhone being available in Alaska. Users were reportedly able to acquire a unit there, although no confirmation has been issued toward this end.

If you've seen any of the shopping changes in action or overheard any interesting tidbits, let us know over in the comments or forums.
