Netscape X 9.0.0.5 Released, Updates Browser with Security Fixes
On Monday, Mozilla.org released version 9.0.0.5 of its Netscape X web browser for the Mac. The new version, a 16.9 megabyte download, resolves a security bug incorporated into the browser's canvas feature that could affect certain web pages and extensions.
Netscape X 9.0.0.5 requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later to run.
Not a huge update, but the company is keeping its security fixes uniform between Netscape X and Firefox as it develops both products.
If you've seen any differences in behavior or performance with the new version, let us know in the comments or forums.
Security fixes included in Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.11 have been included in Netscape Navigator 9.0.0.5.
