MWSF08: PowerPage's Best of Show for Macworld Expo 2008
With the expo winding down, Jason and I sat down and muddled through the show's offerings. The following are the 10 coolest items that qualified as best of show. Some are groundbreaking, others incredibly useful while a few are incredibly fun.
Either way, they're worth looking into and represented the best of what Macworld Expo 2008 had to offer:

Xtreme Mac Luna 2 (US$119):
Everyone makes iPod speakers these days. But Luna 2 is more than that, it's also an alarm clock. Much easier to operate than the Luna 1, this model will also work with iPhone by the end of Q1. Finally, the perfect place to charge my iPhone at night.
Uniea U-Feel Crystal Case for iPhone:
This is the first hard case for the iPhone that offers full face protection of iPhone with a "touch-through" surface that doesn't impede operation of the multi-touch display.
Elgato eyeTV Hybrid US$150 (on sale for $99):
An amazingly small Mac TV tuner card that grabs free OTA HDTV and analog broadcasts.
Axiotron's Modbook (US$2,290):
The first and only tablet Mac doesn't have Apple's logo on it. It has Axiotron's. The most anticipated product at MWSF07 is a shipping product in 2008! And it has a built-in GPS.
Etch-A-Mac:
What's cooler than have tribal artwork tatooed on your body? Having flying toasters etched onto your iPhone, of course. These guys can etch just about anything onto any metal surface and they've done miracles with iPods, iPhones and the lids of MacBook Pros. They're also an authorized Apple reseller, so instead of being without your iron for a week (or three) you can just buy your pre-etched Mac directly from them.
MacBook Air (US$1799):
I've been asking for an Apple subnotebook for 10 years and Tuesday I got it. Sure it's got issues but if you don't want one I'd be happy to take your place in the queue. The MBA is the perfect synthesis of form and function even if it's a little light in the spec department. Now if I can only find a way to squeeze my data footprint to fit on a formatted 80GB HDD.
Dreamcheeky Wireless USB Missile Launcher (US$560):
Useless but fun, this is a signal satellite connected to a USB port that hooks into a small missile launcher. A user-adjusted controller (complete with target camera) helps the user locate their prey before firing foam missiles at their target. Currently only compatible with Windows 2000/XP and Vista, but still easily installed and run on an Intel-based Mac and definitely a fun, cool thing for the home or office.
Fone2Phone (12.52 euros, about US$18.32):
A small, useful utility that allows users to migrate data from a variety of cell phones to their iPhone and iPod that much simpler.
FrogPad (US$110.49 and US$127.49):
A small, portable USB or Bluetooth keyboard that reduces all keys down to a single pad and allows for quick typing. Cool idea, especially in its wireless Bluetooth form and also available in a left-handed configuration.
Netgear ReadyNAS Duo (no current price listed):
A genuinely cool network attached storage device, complete with hot-swappable media bays and also features native Apple File Sharing support. Although the device doesn't officially support Time Machine, the Netgear representative mentioned that users had discovered a means of doing this and that official Time Machine support may be forthcoming.

I'd have to disagree with Uniea U-Feel Crystal Case being first. ARTWIZZ has this idea with a currently shipping product. The cases are nearly identical with the exception of the mirrored surface and beltclip/stand.
