O2 Improves iPhone Contracts, Offers Additional Text Messages and Higher Call Allowance
Over on the other side of the pond, UK wireless provider O2 has just announced that it will be offering a much-improved contract for iPhone users. According to Macworld UK, the firm will be offering free voicemail and triple its previous amount of call minutes (600, up from 200) as well as the ability to send up to 500 SMS messages (500, up from 300) per month on the cheapest plan of £35 per month.
A £45 per month iPhone contract will offer the same call/text allowance as formerly given customers paying £55 per month as well as 1,200 minutes of calling and 500 text per month. A £55 per month contract will offer either a £10 discount from the bill or the chance to join a £75 per month contract, which offers 3,000 minutes of calling and 500 texts under the monthly deal.
02 requires an 18 month minimum contract for each iPhone sold.
The revised contracts are set to begin on February 1st for new and existing customers.
If you've heard anything new or have feedback about O2, let us know over in the comments or forums.
