PPUG 10th Anniversary Meeting

PPUG-1.jpg

Where does the time go?

Tomorrow's PPUG (Philadelphia PowerBook Users Group) meeting is the 10th anniversary of the first PowerBook user group in the United States. The picture above is from our first meeting on 25 April 1998, from left are Rob Parker, myself and "Doctor" Will Vuong.

Catch up with myself and podcast regulars Rob Parker and Youngmoo Kim at tomorrow's meeting from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at the Manayunk Brewing Company. We have a special guest in town joining us for the 10th anniversary meeting – Chuck Freedman, another Podcast regular.

On tap are the latest developments from Macworld Expo: the new MacBook Air, Apple TV Take 2, iTunes Movie rentals, software updates for iPods and iPhone news, Apple hardware, Leopard, and and the latest in mobile computing. Additionally we will have time for Q&A. If you were at ‘Expo, we would love to have you give us your perspective as well.

Join us for a great meeting, and it’s free — open to all and your guests. Feel free to bring items to sell or swap as well.

Please forward this announcement to members of your users group if you are a member of a Mac User Group, invite your friends and colleagues.

Crazy man!

I can't believe that it's been that long! I met Jason in 1999 or 2000 at the Macworld NYC with the announcement of the first wireless iBooks.
