VLC 0.8.6e Released
Video Lan Client, the popular open source media player for multiple audio and video formats (MPEG, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, Divx, ogg, etc.), has recently been updated to version 0.8.6e. The new version, a 23.5 megabyte download, repairs assorted security vulnerabilities.
Not a huge change, but it's worth snagging the new version. Where QuickTime falls short, VLC picks up the slack.
VLC 0.8.6 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later to run and is available as a free download.
Take a gander and let us know what you think of the new version in the comments or forums.
