Crumpler's New Camo Messenger
If you're looking for the perfect mid-size messenger bag that happens to be camouflage, look no further my friend. Crumpler's Textbook Point (US$120) is probably the antithesis of a corporate or professional bag. But that's what I like about it.
It's a traditional messenger "bucket" style bag, so you'll need to pick up a sleeve to protect your MacBook while using it – the Crumpy School Hymn (US$45) series works nicely. All of Crumpler's bags are extremely well-made and they last forever. Crumpler bags don't die, they get passed along to friends.
If you're looking for a bag that doesn't scream, "Hello, I shop at the Dell store!" or "Rob me, I'm just visiting" then take a look at some of the bags from Crumpler. Be warned though, they may draw some extra scrutiny at airport security. Also allow extra time through the Crumpler Web site, you'll need it.
Oh, and if you buy a Textbook Point now, you'll receive a free John Thursday (that's Crumpler speak for a camera/ipod/gadget bag). Subject to availability, limited offer.
Tech specs:
If someone can explain to me what Crumpler's Web site copy mean, I'll give them a pony:
- Water resistant 1000D Nylon shell & 420D Ripstop Nylon lining
- 1x large internal zip pocket
- 1x velcro pocket
- 2x side pockets
- Removable shoulder pad
- Clip & Velcro release flap
- Special colour Crumpler logo. Adjustable main strap w/ Quick Flick (TM) buckle and strap-trap accessory loop.
Get ya curses out – it’s time to do the Text Box Point! Get yer winkle finger on yer pads n point that arrow for some screen craving . . .Oooh, u dooo make my points tremble n fry my microchips . . .Write my name in pixels u texty pixie!Crumpler Textbook Point
