firefox.jpg

It's not a huge update, but it's a damn good browser and being current never hurts.

Late Tuesday, Mozilla.org released version 2.0.0.13 of its Firefox web browser.

The new version, a 17 megabyte download, offers the following fixes and changes:
-XUL popup spoofing variant (cross-tab popups).
-Java socket connection to any local port via LiveConnect.
-Privacy issue with SSL Client Authentication.
-HTTP Referrer spoofing with malformed URLs.
-Crashes with evidence of memory corruption (rv:1.8.1.13).
-JavaScript privilege escalation and arbitrary code execution.

Firefox requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later to run and is available for free.

If you've tried the new version and seen either positive or negative changes, let us know in the forums.
