Moving and Associated Whatnot

elbrain.jpg

No news updates today (I apologize) as I try to get a handle of moving and other assignments which need to be dealt with.

The story of the move: Around the time I was accidentally feeding my MacBook half a Corona, my apartment building's management company called to inform me that they'd be renovating all the units, even if you were content with your current apartment. Several days later, a representative came by to answer questions and, after telling me they'd raise my rent to US$1,935 a month before utilities, I replied that we had nothing else to talk about, signed the buyout agreement and terminated my lease.

The good news is that I was able to find a larger, cheaper place 2.6 miles away. The bad news is the usual hassle that moving presents and everything that goes with it. So, in the midst of packing everything, I offer the following:

A person's hallways shouldn't be something out of "The Shining"...:

A fellow comic in the D.C. standup comedy scene shot this along to me. It made my brain hurt and you should feel the same:

And, finally, this John Maushammer cat has impressed me with his carbon fiber lid hack for the MacBook Air to help strengthen the unit and make it that much more of a road warrior. Cool stuff and take a gander.

As always, let us know what's on your mind over in the comments or forums.

What city is that since that's what my rent is going to be if I stay here. I however have a 60 day notice period to give them.
