My Touch Keys Adds Tactile Feedback to iPhone Interface

iphone3.jpg

As nifty as the iPhone and its touchscreen interface is, a lack of tactile feedback can prove cumbersome for the user. According to iPhone Alley, a new product called My Touch Keys is intended to solve this problem.

The product, which is designed as a thin sheet of plastic with holes shaped to correspond to where the virtual keys will appear on the screen, allows users to "feel" where the keys are located. This in turn allows users to locate keys quickly via muscle memory and touch feedback. Since there's no adhesive, users can easily remove the product, which also doubles as a screen protector, at a later date.

The My Touch Keys retails for US$7.99, though the company is currently offering a two-for-one deal where you and a friend can buy one for US$4.00 each.

If you've tried the cover or seen something similar to it, let us know over in the comments or forums.

I wonder how appealing it is to watch movies through a plastic layer with holes.
