Over the past few days, Apple has provided additional seed releases of its Mac OS X 10.5.3 system update to members of its developer community in the form of two additional builds.

According to AppleInsider, builds 9D19 and 9D20 of Mac OS X 10.5.3, which arrived on Friday and Tuesday, incorporate a number of code corrections expected to bring the number of fixes within the update to approximately 150.

With respect to Build 9D20, Apple is reported to have relaxed the number of core focus areas from 24 to 18 with developers being requested to test the performance of Adobe Flash media within Apple's Safari web browser.

The Mac OS X 10.5.3 update is purported to include a fix for graphics issues that have plagued a number of Intel-based Macs, particularly the latest versions of the MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks.

Sources close to the story have stated that the latest build includes just two known issues, the first focusing on the need to possibly reset VPN settings following installation while the other centers around localization support of Mac OS X 10.5.3 having yet to be completed.

If you've heard anything about the latest builds or would like to sound off about which fixes you'd like to see present in Mac OS X 10.5.3, let us know over in the comments or forums.

There seems to be a printing/Airport problem. A photgrapher friend with a G5 updated to 10.5.2, and started having problems printing photos to a printer connected to an Airport Extreme. They start printing, and hang up. There is no problem with text documents, printing web pages, etc. There is also no problem printing photos when printer is connected directly to computer.

Similar issues have been noted in Apple forums, although no others seem photo-specific. All suggestions in those forums re fixes have been tried; none work. There seems to be a 10.5.2 problem, as that was a common thread among the various issues regarding printing and Airport.
