SternLab Working on Knitted Body Technology Interfaces

macbooks.jpg

It's not explicitly Mac-related, but SternLab is apparently working on its Body-Laptop Interface, a series of knitted accessories meant to provide "privacy, warmth and concentration" when using a laptop in public spaces:

The idea is in the concept stages and additional products can be seen over at the SternLab web site.

If you've got two cents to chip in about this, let us know over in the comments or forums.

The obvious design flaw is, of course, the increased vulnerability to noogies, rugburns, and shoe lacing. It is unknown if the kitted material will be protective against wet willies.

Is this some sort of late April Fools joke? If it's for real, it's pretty stupid. And, a huge potential danger for someone in a public place getting cold cocked (beaten up) and robbed because they can't see who's around them.

Maybe it's a pattern you can give to you grandmother so you can not get another stupid sweater or Knitted socks for Christmas. Otherwise the other comments are valid

Who leaked the new Microsoft Personal Security soft-wear update?

This has to be the worst idea I have ever seen... Why don't they include a pocket to place your valuables? It looks like the idea came from a hockey game where a player's jersey is lifted over their head to immobilize them in a fight...
