Apple Releases 1.1.2 Update for Third Generation iPod Nano

newipodnano.jpg

In yet another sort-of-stealth update (or at least one done without much fanfare or publicity), Apple released the version 1.1.2 update for its iPod nano music players.

The company was once again light on specifics and claimed that the update featured bug fixes for the device.

The update is available through iTunes "Check for Update" feature.

Since Apple hasn't provided any real specifics on this, we're basically the guinea pigs here. If you've installed the update and noticed any differences, positive or negative, let us know in the comments or forums.

I installed v1.1.2 two weeks ago!?

There is one new nice feature: I have a big playlist (over 300 items). One click on the button menu gets you up one level: from the song just playing to the a list of the songs in this playlist.

  • Before: the screen showed me the first item of the list. With random playing, it was very annoying to find the song that is just playing (e.g. to add it to the Playlist-on-the-go).
  • Now: the song that is playing is selected (in the middle of the screen).

Very nice!
