AT&T Limits iPhone Purchases to One Per Customer, Requires Plastic for Purchase

On Wednesday, wireless carrier AT&T sent out internal memos to employees stating that all iPhone sales will be limited to one per customer and that all customers will be required to pay with a credit or debit card.

Previous to the announcement, customers were allowed to purchase up to three iPhones per customers.

No definitive reason for the new limit has been declared, but the guys at AppleInsider were able to get their mitts on the following copy of the memo:

Why would they care how many iPhones a person bought? Apple and it's partners should stop trying to make them look like their worth more than a mere smartphone and just try to stay up with the demand.
