Orange to Release iPhone in 12 Additional Countries
Per a recently released Reuters report, France Telecom-owned wireless provider Orange confirmed that it will offer the iPhone in Austria, Belgium, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Jordan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and Orange’s African markets in 2008.
The expansion adds to the French market, which the provider currently serves.
Such a move comes as a bit of a change with Apple appearing to be abandoning its original plan of working with an exclusive partner in each country. In the cases of Portugal and Egypt, a second carrier will be incorporated as Vodafone steps in to offer service as well.
If you've heard anything else on your end, let us know over in the comments or forums.
