Apple Launches iPod Touch Promotion for Qualifying Mac Purchases

ipodtouch.jpg

Per MacRumors , Apple launched its latest back-to-school promotion in which the company is offering a "ree 8GB iPod touch ($299) to college students who buy a qualifying Mac (MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Mac Pro)."

An article over on VentureBeat contends that by putting Apple's mobile platform in the hands of students, it can help assure its dominance in the newer handset market.

Students can opt for an 8 gigabyte iPod nano if that's more to their taste and the promotion ends on September 15th.

If you've seen the promotion or have some thoughts on it, let us know over in the comments or forums.
