Rumor: Next-Gen iPhone to be 22% Thinner, More Affordable

iphone3.jpg

The days until a next generation iPhone launch are drawing close and the rumors are getting interesting.

According to Leander Kahney at Cult of Mac, Apple will release a thinner, cheaper iPhone with 3G support and much-improved battery life.

Kahney, who has authored several books about Apple and is an editor at Wired News, cites sources close to the story and has also mentioned that the new handset will offer 3G support, GPS and be available in 16 and 32 gigabyte versions.

No word has been given as to when Apple will release the device, though many expect an announcement at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, California.
